Music and Making Exhibition - CANCELLED
This exhibition was due to run from 27 March - 9 May 2020 at the dot-art Gallery, Liverpool.
It was initially postponed due to the pandemic, then later cancelled.
The exhibition planned to feature the work of artists for whom music is a key part of their artistic practice. Ali Barker, Aimee Blackledge and Nathan Pendlebury were to present works reflecting the texture and rhythm of sound through bold and gestural abstract paintings.

Enchanted Forest (Synaesthesia 175) [after Benito-Gutiérrez and Pollock]
Shown as part of IN)cógnito #1
First shown on YouTube 17 June 2020
Lockdown collaboration with Isabel Benito-Gutiérrez (composer).
The video I made of myself painting – responding and experimenting in colour to Isabel’s earlier composition ’Enchanted Forest (After Pollock)’ – became the score for her new piece ‘(IN)chanted Forest’ for solo flute.
The video of my painting can be seen alongside the performance of the music on YouTube here.
